:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from E. Copper -- True to the Eddas and stunning artwork. : A quick disclaimer, I do not read tarot cards, but collect them for the artwork. On that front, these cards absolutely deliver. The artwork definitely has a fantasy style to it, with a bit of pop culture (Vikings TV show) thrown in, but is also a lot closer to historically accurate than any other Norse deck I have seen. Overall, I think the cards do a great job of capturing the spirit of the Norse culture and deities, and are aesthetically stunning. The only card I have a complaint with from an artistic standpoint is the hanged man. It is well done, but is out of place with the overall feel and theme of the rest of the deck. It's beautiful and has helped me with my Rune study. This is on my top 3 decks that I turn to in my readings. There's so much in this deck that I had to actually read the creators intentions and Rune interpretations. I love this deck. If you're into Norse culture and Runes, get this deck. Images are very much like the Viking show but still absolutely stunning artwork. The only thing is Odin isn’t the hanged man which I do understand because they used him as the Death card at the gates of Valhalla (which is a completely gorgeous card).
